There was a man bought a fish.
Took it home splish, splash, splish.
It didnt bark, was averse to his chatter.
So he ate it next day, off a silver platter.
Nice one mate love zany humour.

The QUEEN she replied
To shatter his pride
Have tea with thee ?
No not me !
Thanks for another cartoon MICHAEL (which looks just like a load of bovine excrement !)
Also another fine LIM with an Irish setting | where indeed they originated | Limerick !
Yours BRIAN

Thanks MICHAEL and once again you have complimented a perfect poem with a perfect picture. Love the sentiment in this poem ! A glimpse of a Sylphlike Girl always lifts my Spirits & Resolve ! All poetry is a \"work in progress\" but to my mind (and others ?) DESIDERATUM (a PREREQUISITE) was fit to post ! Yours BRIAN

Well tweaked poem, Michael! A classy one I must say, truly a beauty. I\'m a big tweaker myself, but believe it\'s worth it. Your poem confirms that.

With its lilting cadence and evocative form this tale of change from dark past to love\'s bright determination has to be one of your best Michael - a charming read.

Know what you mean. I write nothing some days, but may have some poems in reserve.
I\'ve got a series of 10 shorter poems in reserve too, but some days I honestly can\'t seem to write anything!
An idea - maybe do do a daft ditty about 1066 - you, Goldie and I were all there in person! lol. Goldie blames me. Well, I told Harold to \'look up!\'
