\"I saw a giant of a man brought down by a thing called love\". \"Love will find a way\".
You are so right. These emotional ramparts i am so familiar with cry to be sacked by love. But oh my, the years have built them strong and high.
Reading you today had me feeling i was being reminded how false is my facade.

Some who were lovers can split and be friends.
Others who were lovers will be enemies to the end.
I think it depends on how much of the trust is lost.

You have done it again Fay. This is a truly wonderful piece.
There are those who say question marks (and exclamation marks) shouldn\'t be used in poetry. Thanks for proving them wrong.
I\'m sure the person in the image is me when I was younger (the taller one).
Once again I\'m proud to ask if I may snap your fine write up for my Fayves.

Ooooooo FAY ~ This Poem frightened us when we first read it ! True Love is both tough & fragile at times so we can never ever take it for granted. We both feel that because our LOVE stood the test of 15 months & 11,500 miles separation when Angela was in New Zealand it will last forever ~ AMEN ! One of our Friends whose marriage split up recently after 17 years said *You must enjoy the BEST but (sadly) expect the WORST.* Love the picture (it looks just like us ~ no grey hairs yet !) and the poem. The last verse says it all *We can still be together ~ reinvent Peace* In our experience Marriages which endure a *crisis* are often stronger as a result ~ AMEN ! We are House Hunting ~ Please check *Home Sweet Home* Thanks !
Blessings & Peace & Joy

Yes, though the passion and \'adoration\' has gone, it should never be forgotten that so much was \'right\' between two people who, till it failed, shared so much of their very existence together. After all that, you have to be friends don\'t you.
I met an ex 30 years after we had shared our lives. I wrote a poem about it entitled \'Joey\'. It\'s published on MPS (13/7/19).
After the solicitors had done their polarising work on my ex-wife and me, we still remain good friends (without regular contact) and i would hate it to be any other way to be honest.
Your piece today enters a realm many lovers are unable to cope with. Maybe understanding your words will bring a new insight to them

Good Evening FAY - ANGELA here. Love the visual very whistful thinking - reflects the final doublet ! In the folklore of many Civilisations *Sister Moon* especially the New Moon - is associated with LOVE and there are many songs embellishing this theme ! The MOON can be large & luminous in February - provided its not to cloudy ! In the N Hemisphere it usually too cold - in February - to spoon al fresco in the Moonlight but Brian & I can enjoy it through the double glazed picture window ! Last year (2019) I was all alone in NZ on Valentines Evening ! The Moon was big and the air was balmy so I clung to Ruth (who was missing David) because the Tall Handsome KIWIS always had their eye to the main chance. We did get a few *Brotherly* hugs and kisses at the Catholic Church Valentines Dance but we remained Sober & Faithful - HONEST ! Brian I I love Valentines Day and Im staying at Brians Flat tonight (special concession) so we can have a Valentines Breakfast Together before work ! There is a Valentines Dinner & Dance tomorrow evening at the Catholic Church - We like to honour our SAINTS ! Please check my Poem Tomorrow *SAINT VALENTINE* an Acrostic 5 9 Sonnet !
Thanks for a beautiful Valentine Poem
Love the nuances in the Final Doublet !
LOVE Angela & Brian πππππ

Nothing says Valentine\'s romance like a gorgeous moonlight. Hearts tonight will be waiting to see if their \"crush\" will call.
A beautiful poem Fay. A great description of the angst of the day. Some may get broken, but many will rejoice.
