I feel I should re-visit your poem today having ranted earlier for which i apologise.... my frame of mind at the time intruded.

Your final line asks and now i answer. There is nothing finer than these riches of nature.
As before, you show your empathy with our natural world and you draw out a string of words to compliment. I\'m envious of the way you paint pictures with the written word.

Your words paint a rich picture as ever! There\'s always such depth to your work, whereas I find my own work to be surface level. I shall keep studying your work!

Seeing so many around with the droop of sadness about their personna I feel I am blessed with a richness of positiveness and wit. I hope it will not be taken from me whilst my walk through life decays for i would I think despair.

You are right. The world around us contains many jewels of the natural world. Sadly many eyes do not know the opportunity to see such marvels. Inner city life has no kingfisher splash of splendor nor stickleback fleeting gloss.

Our children and grandchildren may wish for more mundane riches beyond the reaches of money, fresh air to breath and a climate in which to survive may turn out to be their wishes of richness in an era when poetry has not seen the long extinct wildlife we adore today but turn our backs to. Money is buying a future of death and decay for our planet.

Money, the rout of our riches.

(Apologies, this turned into a bit of a rant)

Love exacts loyalty, which makes it a hostage to doubt - which only writers, such as yourself, do so poetically exclaim.

Good Evening FAY ~ You have presented us a challenge because Spring is a paradox ! Gentle as a LAMB but fiesty as a LION ! When one considers the enormity of the transition from the DEADNESS of WINTER (especially when blanketed in SNOW) to the VIVACITY of SPRING ~ SPRING has to be a very assertive Season. The Snowdrops have pushed their way up through the stubborn sod ~ only to be greeted by snow & ice ! The iced vines KNOW that they are the harbinger of a FRUTY vino tinto in Autumn ~ AMEN !
Love the last line: *Cold it may be ~ but Spring knows its Duty*

Blessings & Peace & Joy

Yes, we trust Spring knows. Should we go by our diaries - Spring begins around March 21st \'officially\', so mine says.
Meanwhile - cheer up folks, it\'s till Winter! I\'m no help at all sometimes! heehee.
You have some things worse on the coasts though, I realise. I\'m inland, and sometimes says \'Snow? Where?\' when others have about 6 foot if it!

Oh what a superior final line. Sgt Major Nature commands his bulb forces \"c\'mon me hearties - up and at \'em.... you ain\'t gonna let no shivvering breeze keep you in your beddie bies now are ya...... Lance Corporal Crocus.... show \'em \'ow it\'s done lad!\"

I saw my first daffs yesterday in Cheltenham amid a lawn of crocus in purples and white.... oh springtime where art thou my lovely?

Well if spring gets washed out we shall have the delights of your words to warm our hearts i hope.

ANGELA HERE - Thanks FAY a challenging Photo & Poem. A Friend of ours from the (East Coast Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen) gives talks on their work - entitled *The Price of Fish & Chips* ! This is something we forget as we enjoy our *Cod \'n Chips \'n Mushy Peas* Angela & I have just had that but having heard Bob\'s talk the College Seniors Club we never complain about the PRICE and would pay double for the fish ! The *PRICE* is the Hardship & Injury & even Death sufferead every Year by the DS Fishermen ! Their Pay & Return is relatively low and their health in their (short) Retirement is often impaired. Your elegant (as usual) Poem is an excellent tribute to those who battle every day (especially in Winter) with the Wind & Waves to secure our FISH SUPPER - wherever we my be in the UK ! In our local Restaurants Brian & I regularly choose SEA BASS perfect in Texture & Taste when POACHED ~ AMEN Thanks for caring. Please check *IT SNOWED TODAY* - THANKS !

BLESSINGS & Peace & Joy
Love Angela & Brian πŸ’›πŸ€πŸ’›πŸ€πŸ’›
