Gorgeous words and use of metaphor, I think everyone who has been in a bluebell woodland has felt this sense of peace and tranquility. Very nice write :)

The verse doesn\'t try to portray it - it does portray it - beautiful write and I\'m now minded to visit our local bluebell woods - we are lucky in that we have several round here.

Good write Fay. We can\'t walk through ha small bluebell wood now. It\'s overgrown! But there are patches of bluebells in a larger wood to enjoy.

\'Stillness breeds awe\' and quiet yes, does become lush.
Slowly re-reading you i feel every piece of this and how everything you decribe refreshes and repairs.
Early mornings amidst those bluebells in your picture (are they here so early this year) seems a lifetime ago..... i must repair to the woods.

Perhaps \"dappling\" is Natures abstract art? Or, more philosophically, perhaps Mixture is what will save the World. - A great write Fay, eye opening, to many things. If one opens one\'s mind to the variations of Nature, perhaps the fear of difference will disappear. Wouldn\'t that be wonderful. Thanks for the inspiration. - Phil A.

THANKS FAY ~ FOR A VERY ZIG-ZAGGYPOEM ~ The fragmented style (15 verses ?) is dictated by the context ! Loved the pictures you chose ~ the Peacoks Eye ~ Went to a Wedding recently and there was a Peacock (many selfies) especially when he fully unfurled his TAIL for the Peahens (All Essex Girls !) Loved the BADGE in praise of Dappled Things.
I\'ve been talking about VOCABULARY in my Language Poem and \"MIXTURES\" is a feast ! God in His Creation is a master of design and camelflage Yiou highlight the use of freckles - prisms - tessalation (good word) - checks - variegating - flushes - irridescence - pattern - striation - patches - harlequin - pibald - brindled - irradiation - kaleidescope - mosaic - speckles - polychrome - rainbows - tricoloured - marbled -banded - spotted - sprinkled - veined - tattooed - grizzled & dappled ! 28 different words to touch the hem of Moher Natures HAUTE COURTURE ! Even in FASHION we are only thinking Gods thoughts after HIM ~ What a Wonderful World ! Thanks for sharing so so elegantly wordwise !

\"Departure,\" flocks of birds leaving to migrate to better surroundings. It\'s enough to make one jealous of their freedom. Your poem conveys concern and appreciation of our feathered friends. I liked \"flapping thrum of wing beats.\" It captured the sensation to a \"T.\" Lovely poem Fay. - Phil A.

THANKS FAY ~ Love the picture ~ very nostalgic of Birds in Flight ! Migrating Birdsare a lovely sight for those priviledged to live on the Coast ~ and an equally lovely Poem ! I saw many Sea Birds on my trip to the S E Coast but not many migrating ~ except the Migrating SAND MARTINS from AFRICA ~ whose nesting holes were covered by netting ~ now removed !
Your poem describles elegantly the nostalgia of the THE LAST GLIMPSE of the departing GEESE ~ AMEN. Thanks for sharing

A part of life\'s cycle, leaving leadened skies and sulking horizon with the inbuilt knowledge of better times awaiting at journeys end. Though saddening for our winters heart and regretful thoughts that we may never see them again.

But they are back Fay, any day now they\'ll be here to light the days and squawk at your dawn\'s delight.

I for one look forward to reading about that from you.

This is so darn good, it makes one want to fly.... very atmospheric and with more than fifty shades of grey springing to mind as I watch and take stock of those pewter skies where skeins do fly.... I was reminded of Daphne Du Maurier\'s Rebecca and her mackerel sky... Neville

HI FAY : Love the picture FAY : Newness of Life in the grass green leaves & Newness of Love in a fingertip touch ! Brian is still on his Field Trip on Coastal Erosion : the Norfolk Council put up nets to prevent erosion and the RSPB made them take it down because it blocked the nesting sites for the Terns !
I have spent most of my 30 Springs in the UK and the UK S[pring can be very tantilising especially when Brian is growing Veggies and trying to beat the Frost ! Some days like WINTER : Some like SUMMER & Some even like SPRING ! : Flowers in the Meadow BUT it is all part of Tomorrows REGENERATION !
Leaves & Blossom on the Trees : Wild Flowers in the Meadow and Chicks & Lambs & Calves & Foals all proving that in the natural Annual Cycle : Summer & Harvest & Winter & Springtime will never cease ! Thanks for sharing & caring about Nature & All of US !
Blessings & Peace & Joy
