What a splendid little poem this is.. one that will undoubtedly be more relevant to some, than to others, but.. will nevertheless appeal to everyone that finds it here.... Neville

Your first verse made me guffaw. So apt..... so much conveyed in four short lines......
I believe the first verse is a stand alone masterpiece.
The whole is a fine write as per your norm .... but yes that first verse.... is so terse.
Goes into my favs.

A lovely write Fay. A pity I used to ruin my mum\'s Mothers Day every year, by singing to her! lol. I wondered why dad bought her ear-plugs every Christmas. Hmmm?

Good evening FAY ! Love the quote \"To be at one with Nature : Is to be at one with Yourself !\" V 1. Indicates that you appreciate Nature : and are at one with Nature : You are Nature ! V 2. Nature becomes You ! V 3. You admit this oneness is a transient state : but that it is still to be relished : AMEN.

\'When one tugs at a single thing in Nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world\" - John Muir
Your poem seems to echo that sentimental truth. Yes we can be awed by its beauty, or spurred to empathize with its creatures, and it can excite or imaginations. As someone once said, \"Curiosity is Nature\'s school of learning\", to the poet, it is a treasure trove of inspiration. Loved your poem. - Phil A.

THANKS FAY : FOR AN ELEGANT LOVE POEM ! It is presented in a gossamer vocabulary that precludes an \"18\" and excludes the Bark of Fido. It stirred our yearnings for each other and the shared intimacy of a Camper Van might just enable us to act out all three STANZAS !
1. Anticipation !
2. Paricipation ! !
3. Culmination ! ! !
We are both in our Prime (35 & 30) and nearly 8 months separation is too too much ! We both enjoyed the covert nuances in every word of your Love Poem ! Straight from your Heart to Ours !
Blessings & Love in the SPIRIT

My Dear Fay,
A fascinating and informative read!
I can see how these crow behaviors can be applied to humans!
I consider you a top notch writer!
I enjoyed reading your great poem! I especially liked the line...
“...mass stealing starts war in earnest
to keep robbing beaks away!”

What if all the nest raiders could be colored black? We have Bluejays that are raiders, yet beautifully colored birds.Selection by nest-building happens in humans as wealth weights the balance to he who can provide a Nest-Egg. Corny I know. Loved your poem, and I\'ll be watching the crows this Spring. - Phil A.

They really are gathering up a head of steam at the moment - circling cawing gathering sticks building nests - they may not be the most attractive of birds but boy would they be missed. The countryside would not be the same without them.
