Beautiful write Fay. I was walking into town the other day and took a oath by a stream and there above me was a thrush singing quite beautifully.

A super poem, my dear Fay!
A great pic of that beautiful thrush! Love hearing their sweet sound. “Sweetness” indeed! A friend of mine photographed one in Central Park two years ago! They are beautiful sweet little creatures!

Thanks FAY ~ Beautiful Photo ~ Bird & Poem. My MUM\'s garden is furnished for birds ~ and a large French Window to view them through ! The Flats where I live surround a garden which has Shrubs ~ Bird boxes ~ Bird tables & Bird baths etc so we do get many species of birds. The THRUSH is an understated Bird but always neat and smart ! As you say its trill does sweeten the Sunset unless it is drowned out Musak and City Sounds ! So called CIVILISATION has much to answer for ~ Thanks for caring and sharing ~ Yours as always BRIAN ! Please check my CATS ~ Thanks B !

A beautiful poem Fay and so nice that everything is spring now........ I haven\'t seen a thrush at my home but I will look up how to attract them - there are many varieties but we have a \"wood thrush\" that appears similar to the one you are showing us....... I\'d love to have one singing in my garden!

WILD LAND.
Laura🌻 said:

A great write, my dear Fay!
I promise to not seek this human-less island and let nature continue on its course and be what it was meant to be! A very enjoyable and eye-opening read!

A beautiful and truthful statement...

“Such is the dictum of law and order among creatures living in real wilderness and who persist in a fierce kind of freedom.”

When I was young the wilds of nature did not scare me - I loved it! Now that I\'m older I am more aware of her wrath and stay closer to the garden - but even there the hawks get my little birds and I find feathers under the bird feeder in the mornings........ We are here at her mercy! Lots of open space in your wonderful poem Fay.............

Thanks FAY for another winsome Rural Ode. Because I am a Scientist I love WIND TURBINES with their clean lines and aerodynamic engineering ! Some LUDDUITES see them as visual pollution ! In EAST ANGLIA we have some Working Real Windmills and they are MAJESTIC by comparison ~ AND they produce FLOUR one of life\'s staples rather than electricity which is a 20th C luxury and unfortunately a 21st C necessity ! Thanks for reminding us of the WIND-AGE ~ Yours as always ~ BRIAN

Absolutely wonderful writing. You are a magician of words producing a spectacle of delight from plain english.
I feel the emotion spilling here. You have gone straight to the heart of the deepest feeling of loss.
A MUST for my favourites.

This was just lovely Fay. Common sense might tell you what it will but whenever you catch that scent everything comes back........ (Fay was this a death of someone you knew or just a parting?)

Are you kidding me? That last stanza is a gold mine I tell you what. I\'ve seen a lot of synonyms for the use of the word \"Present\" but just simply saying \"all my now\" nearly took my breath away. Wow. I have a lot to learn it would seem. Absolutely remarkable.
