I love the language that you use in this poem. But it\'s a poem so relatable because I know it so well. Superb job on this!!

The abandonment in late-blooming love makes possible attaining unforgettable new heights in soul\'s satisfaction. Well told in this beauty, Fay!

\'Anxious wife awaiting the return of her mate from danger\' ... a theme so often replayed by wives of soldiers as well as those of fishermen. Well portrayed, Fay!

Beautiful FAY an elegant poem dripping wit sea water nostalgia. In the N E we say \"The Boats cummin\' in\" A Friend of mine (based on the East Coast) works for the \"Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen\" and entitles his Talk (for WI\'s etc) \"The Price of Fish & Chips\" because sometimes the Boats don\'t come back in. The Deep Sea Fishermen of the UK and their families face a lot of heartache and hardship so you and I can enjoy a mega battered hake at Harry Ramsden\'s (Yorkshire) or at your local F & C Restaurant and Takeaway. Your poem really sets the scene ~ thank you. Last time Andy spoke at Church we passed his hat and sent him back to Lowestoft with £300 ~ AMEN I have a loose change box in my flat for ANDY !. Yours as ever BRIAN. SANTI & I have another collaboration \"Seasons of Love\" ~ please visit ~ Thanks ~ Love S & B

Good write Fay, nature can appear to be cruel but hawks kill to feed and not for fun like Homo sapiens.

Tell me a tale, tell me. Oh you told this so well.... winter was here in all its stark crispness, frost in my whiskers and exhaled breath-mists, headlamps on frost, gloves and duffle coats (remember those). Call me a romantic but the pictures your words brought to mind. Thank you, very very enjoyable. Goes into my favourites.

As yiu know FAY I am a SHAPE / FORM POET ! Presenting verses as Regular Rectangular Blocks of pure poetry is impossible ~ but you did it ~ gently and without fuss ~ BEAUTIFUL ~ because you are FAY ! They reminded me of Blocks of Commercial Ice ~ so they perfectly complemented the subject. Autumn is perfect time to contemplate the harshness of a Cornish winter ! The real work begins when all the Visitors have gone Home. I am familiar with the Winter hardships faced by English Lakeland Sheep farmers ~ and your lovely poem \"Rang a Distant Bell !\" Thanks for another gem ~ Yours as ever BRIAN,

Your poem reminds me of growing up in Chicago. These physical embodiments are certainly resilient, as is our survival instinct.
A \'chilling\' season and man\'s will so well depicted, Fay!
