Ticking Away.
Louis Gibbs said:
The transition from dream-world to this world is momentarily confusing to me. It is like trying to remember a role I have undertaken, what scene it is, and what lines I should know as I step on stage. My belief that This is the dream world is reinforced. Your fine poem explores the transition very well, Fay!

Beautiful write Fay.
My alarm clock is built within me, for as long as I can remember I have been up about 6.00am and if I don\'t wake until 6.30 I feel that half the day has gone.

While the photo is certainly beautiful, your poem doesn\'t need it. It is so visual, so beautifully written, my imagination went into overdrive!
Thank you Fay, definitely a favorite!

Thanks FAY ~ In my Youth i spent many years Fell Walking in Snowdonia and The English Lake District. I encountered many many BROOKS in my travels ~ some just inches wide ~ at source ~ others only forded with trepidation ! Loved the photo and the first verse ~ BUT ~ The shape and pace and nostalgia of verse 2 ~ made me weep in humble recollection ~ AMEN ! Love you FAY for always taking us a verse further with your elegant Odes ! Yours as ever ~ in appreciation ~ BRIAN

Life\'s journey ... from the innocence and exploration of childhood, through the formational years of adolescence, to the complete indoctrination of adulthood ... and what is lost in the process. Beautifully expressed, and a favorite, Fay!

This is so beautiful faye. Just so uplifting. I love your plain everyday english writing like this (hope you dont mind me calling it that) compared to your metaphor poetry where i stray off the path. But this piece is outstanding - so very good. It will take pride of place at the top of my favourites.

Thank you Fay for a beautiful poem. I had a garden, flowers, and apple trees when living in Montreal.
Now, while we do have seasons, there is not much difference between them. Sometimes I miss the incredible colors of the maple trees in fall.

Lovely writing Faye. And the last line has me giggling, i never would have thought of using diligence to describe the work of mother nature. The more i think about it, especially human nature, that word is tickling me silly. An extremely enjoyable read but slap
me because for all the wrong reasons.
