Agree with your words here Goldi - perfection should not trouble us as we try our best - - love the number you chose of classical jazz - just my choice too and shame they made so few.

A fine write Gold. I have heard: \'If you are looking for the perfect church and seem to have found it - don\'t join it. You\'ll only spoil it!\' doh!
You found that perfect whisky? It\'ll be the one without water.

Unbroken Love.
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

HELLO ANDY ~ ANGELA HERE FROM NZ. Its 7am (Wednesday) here and I\'ve just woken up and I always check my Laptop before BREAKFAST and Check MPS to see what BRIAN has been up to! I love the mellowness of Johnny Mathis and this song especially : your Wife has good taste. Your Poem really made me think about TRUE LOVE and how readily it adapts to circumstances which SUPERFICIAL LOVE could never survive. In my LINE as a PHYSIO I deal with patients whose mobility (and often mental capacity) is reduced through STROKES, HEAD INJURIES and SPORTS INJURIES. I have done Counselling Courses with the Church and through the NHS. Part of my Job (alongside the Medical Staff) is to explain to Loved Ones the medium and long term effect on Physical Mobility and Mental Capacity. I have always found that with those Truly in Love they are more able to accept bad scenarios. You have hinted in other poems that there are restrictions in your lives but you accept these graciously because you Mutual Love grows deeper & sweeter \"Day by Day by Day\" ! It encourages me, when you refer to your Lovely Wife as \"MY LOVER\", to believe that the Love BRIAN & I have for each other will survive any vicissitude! Thanks for sharing I\'ll be Crying in the Shower: Love to You & Your Wife ANGELA (NZ) XXXX

A sensitive write Gold.
One of the \'mystics\' said (St John Vianney?), or he heard it said to him: \'I look at God and He looks on me, and all is well\'.
Meanwhile - I\'m killing people softly with my songs! heehee.

I love it! Lateral thinking.
Actually, when you read some of the wonderful pieces presented here on MPS clearly there are t hose among us who do think outside the box evident by the \'angle\' from which they approach their subject. I like to be surprised by such indirect routes which inspire me to think again.

A fine write Gold. Doh, I saw some items, the reverse of \'keep calm and carry on\'. They said \'Panic and give up!\'
Any escape from my singing room/box, if one enters it? I will lock the door and keep the key if anyone enters. It\'s a torture room! heehee.

I wonder if the congregation notice? Maybe a suggestions box could bring some refreshing hints upon creating a little more joy when the angels sing.
This must be so annoying. I\'d have started an resistence movement myself and got him ousted.
Les, remains my favourite comic, thank you for the fun video.

I suppose he\'s staying too? One choir got a bit like the Mafia - or some of them did. \'Do what we say, sing what we want, or else....\' The whole thing has gone now. Some bloke with a guitar replaced him, I heard. There he was every week, like clockwork, like it or not...! (Cries of \'Arrgghhh, not again\'!).Now he\'s gone too.

Thanks for showcasing LES DAWSON ~ along with KEN DODD ~ TOMMY COOPER ~ MORCOMBE (and WISE) ~ VICTORIA WOOD ~ JULIE WALTERS the last of the GREAT BRITISH Comedians (and those who graced the Music Halls before them) honed in the Agony & Ecstasy of the 20th Century. A Dead & Dying breed we shall never see their likes again. I have been in several Choirs as a BARITONE / BASS in my time. Praise GOD there were always those PRAYED but also alas a few who PREYED ~ c\'est toujours la vie ! Loved the pome ! Today ANGELA has shared HOW GREAT THOU ART ~ in MAORI ~ beautiful please check ! Another of your great observational pieces. It amuses me how couples are lost in their phones these days. I see it everywhere. Seems that i am the only one takes a book/newspaper/magazine into a waiting room/cafe if i am on my own.
However, i have to admit, at home my laptop is seldom shut down. Perhaps if my ageing eyesight were better i too would spend more time lost on my tiny phone.
I am a lover of conversation so even ignore all but the most important phone calls when in company.
