Oh woe, I know! Why did I have to say those now eternally-recorded words \'Look up, Sire\'?! Why did I not keep my gob shut at that precise moment? It\'s my all my fault, you know. heehee.

Yes indeed, Gold...
It is very intriguing!
Abstracts are one of
my favorites! There is
so much we can invoke
from an abstract. It all
depends upon the beholder!
This beholder is beholden
to you, Gold, for an
awesome write and
visual! Thank you for
sharing your talents!

Loved the sentiments - so true - what would life be without the arts....... and the picture amazed me because it is so \"modern\" and I never would have thought it was painted as early as 1913.......I see so many things - a bird, a fox, and even a sneaker!

On another forum I have just posted a painting by Kevin Hirst which is the pole opposite to this one and yet invokes the same intrigue - life would be empty without art and fine poetry like this piece.

SCRUM ~ Skirmish of Childish Rough and Unruly Men !
Thanks ANDY ~ That is why in my playing days (14 ~ 30) I always played Footy and always in GOAL because it is illegal to tackle a GOALIE ! Because our Schools Head\'s Son had nearly died on the Rugger Pitch we only played Footy and always won the Inter-Schools Trophy ! England really went off the boil in the Six Nations ~ and were even beaten by France and the Auld Foe ~ SCOTLAND ! Thanks for scrumming ~ BRIAN !

Fabulous game which is often baffling to us who are familiar with the rules - I do wonder what our friends across the pond make of it - bit like American football in reverse (which completely baffles most of us here in the UK) . Enjoyed the write Andy.

Goldfinch,
Really liked your piece, which is a great analogy of how you see a journey. So much truth here
* just to say is the last but third line meant to read importance?*
Great poem

Oh lol, good write Gold. Oh, I worry about whether \'?\' or \'!\' should be included in inverted commas (or speech marks) or not. It keeps me awake at night ya know, these sort of things. Then I start thinking a lot - a slippery slope, to be sure!
I mean - we don\'t actually SAY a question mark, or exclamation mark, do we? heehee.
I miss out some punctuation on purpose in my poems. I add it where things may otherwise be unclear.
