Those creatures from hell are all around us and in various disguises, at least you could recognise a dragon and so be able to slay it, not nowadays.

There are millions of fire breathing, flying dragons in our midst even today, they are cloaked in suits and ties and military uniforms, holding detonators (electronic gadgets) in their hands.
Those spawned of hell only returned to a place called home, which we know as Earth.

Wow - this reads like the start of a marvelous saga D.A. - makes me want to know more about the gods of elspenore and those other-worldly crittas.

What a wonderful write, the resilience of our life as kids \'back in the day\' was astounding, home made bows and arrows catapults, sword fights, nobody seriously hurt just the odd tumble and bloodied knees, that was the norm.
Wonderful times of being outside with your friends.
I still have my grandfathers clock, bought the year I was born and inside there used to be a old penny that had been flattened by the last tram that went through Rochester in Kent, my niece still has that flattened coin

I am a brethren from those times though not the place, except for college years 67/68.
I often reminisce about my introverted childhood and in retrospect I hold very pleasant memories.
So in that spirit, I thank you for your poem.

If I could find words adequate enough to thank you for these memories, I would use them.. until then, you will have to settle for a well intentioned second best.............. this is without doubt a great write......... Neville

A fantastic journey down memory land with names I remember so well
- - - Tizer and Gold Leaf which I never did try but knew those who did and they survived well. - - still smiling at those \"fibreglas bums\" sliding down hills - like my brother they got a smacked one when they got home.......... such thrilling days and now gone forever. Thanks so much D.A.for your excellent verse on those unforgettable times.

I am inclined to believe you have expressed the opinions of an increasing number of disillusioned individuals throughout the so called developed Western world, tho interestingly, those that follow the same faith elsewhere seem to remain as devout as ever.... Neville

This rings so true with me at the present moment d a. as you know I am seriously questioning the Christian Faith that I have followed all my life and am beginning to realise that I have been conned.
The Faith in My Spirit will never die but it is MY Spirit and not some \'invented\' image that others would have me believe and pay towards its upkeep.
In this world there is enough money to solve all its problems but those with the money, including \'worship clubs\' will just not let go of theirs and it is the poor that try their best to help and to suffer. Rant over.

Lifetime ago, you say, the pain so vividly recalled.
The enormity of your pain in this read is so strong, I shudder to think the intensity of the pain she was enduring because of evil

P.S. It\'s so difficult to get through to a family member, for its viewed through tainted lenses. I know.
