We treat others a certain way , then get angry when they do the same to us . So why treat others a certain way , if we hate it so much ?

Such a well composed lament to one who may not yet get it and a belated back-hander to boot Nev. - love can be painful if it\'s one-sided - or that\'s how I see this fine piece of poemed confession............ x

Cor, this can be read several ways, either with a relationship or after one has split up. The last one of mine to split up gave me a huge sense of freedom to my own existence and lifestyle back.

Re-read your words a couple of times (im sure you do this ambiguous trick on purpose) and now i\'m thinking it\'s aimed at a self centred selfish lady.

Well, certainly a head scratcher of a post, which is a good thing for a dunce like me.

Your \'maybe(s)\' say it all....😊 Your favorite word?

PS: Enjoyed the piece v. much.

I\'m all for religion, and if it gets you through the day, great, just don\'t inflict it on me. In saying that, that hot chick who did try to convert me. The little devil in me nearly let you.

(once again, after finishing my selfish scribble
I must come back to the top
and insure I thank you, dear Poet
for these words you shared
and the inspiration they gifted me
to ink these feeble thoughts below.
Humbly, sincerely I thank you
what a gift to receive!)
that oh so
conveniently, contagious
\'religion\' of warped victimhood\'s:
\'Nihilism\'...
(tell them, to believe in anything
including themselves
and they cringe;
ask them what they choose, instead
they scream: \'renunciation\' of everything and anything;
ask them, why
and watch them sleep, without reply
through
their endless hangovers
as if life\'s too easy, to put in
any effort
\'simply let it be\' they whizz out
between that puff-puff - pass
cyclical routine of their lives...)
and how did we get here
because we let amateur \'Gardner\'s\'
rule over our life\'s petals of opportunity, changing
their names every few elections
in our aesthetic of a democracy..
and allowed
their incompetent green finger (of greed):
to Yank-out
all of our Integrity and Morality
when they rid us
of that theological, fog
of fear oppressed, mentality...
so now we\'re left swimming in all that:
\'darkness
the fear of it
and
what once
was hid within\'
now, free to seep-in, a little deeper
with every lethargic breath
of sans
they delude themselves
as being
the only things, sincere and free
in their
anxiety oppressed lives...

The dance of life is now and each of us has a beautiful one to unfold before we get to old.

Reading between exposes bigotry and is vital when lines are mainly religious -- am liking your take on a sticky subject that tends to separate - yet truth will out so they say................great piece for some deep pondering ..........x

It\'s surely want some people have made \'religion\'.
Put a cat among the pigeons - some say Roman Catholic Church is the Antichrist, the \'abomination\'. It\'s not hard to disagree with folk who say that.
Baaa - I\'m still a sheep! lol.

I like what Goldfinch wrote and fully support it.
Each of the organised religions seems full of ambiguity and each display the disgusting practice of childhood indoctrination by use of fear.

We are quite naturally spiritual beings. This spiritual side of us has been traditionally hijacked by the organised religions.

A really thought provoking post today Neville though I doubt it will even register with the few \'devout\' sheep who regularly spout religious rubbish on MPS.

I have read between the lines and found that organised religion just leads people into a life where only one thing is believed and the truth is never told.
