Curiosity killed the proverbial cat, but her seeming profession having been my 2nd choice, now I recall that\'s how my one great uncle met my since great aunt. So, guess it\'s more useful than I\'d realized. That aside, this is excellently rendered with a haunting poignancy and fascinating imagery. Thank you for sharing.

Good write N. Is KP Irish? Dunno - I hardly see her in person - mainly in papers, magazines, on TV, etc, etc!

Neville how tightly you weave your story with the rhythm of each breath. Such a human tale it speaks to passion, and that whimsical nostalgia that plagues all of our minds at times, It bleeds a feel of humanity and personal history. Lovely

Stay with me here, in the movie Quigley down under he said he doesn’t have much use for handguns, but didn’t climax scene. It was the handgun that was his tool to overcome it. When asked he says I didn’t say I couldn’t use a handgun. I just don’t have much use for them.
Is all of a sudden you had rhyme on your pen today for a bit but though you don’t have much use for mostly it did feel the climactic tension in the poem. Thank you for this great piece, my friend.

Knew before I was not very far in, I would have to find out how to spell ‘Armageddon’. And further look up ‘Hiroshima’ and ‘Nagasaki’. And also ‘Apocalypse’ and perhaps ‘cataclysmic’. But there you go, by the time I dragged my tail here, the work had mostly been done for me…

Too easy compared with your original construction, Neville.

At first thought it metaphoric of a passionate meeting between two people but now tend to believe it is all too literal and climatic cataclysmic and final. Could be. Well worded to evoke fear in the bravest heart.

Unbelievable amount of corruption and hypocrisy involved here. But I don’t believe this is limited to the Catholic church or politics or the family or any other element constituting the fundamentals of society.
I enjoyed this as a clear criticism, just one of many I hope, of a mélange of values unhampered by critical thinking.
Thanks Neville.

Now Neville the ambiguous C unfairly led me down the wrong path to a back room in my mind where I expected Christmas but was instead found the naked truth and so in shock and denial I still tell myself that it was a metaphor and was Christmas in disguise. Sad but well done poem Neville

You have captured the notion of \"diminishing relations\" perfectly. The hard part is establishing new relations. There\'s a feeling of pointlessness that overtakes the endeavor. It\'s just life, that\'s all. - Phil A.

Were you truly allowed to make me laugh with such a somber reflection? Or am I hereby incorrigible because I shook with laughter? Having cherished wandering occasionally twixt the tombstones since my late teens, more to give myself sobriety and a healthy sense of yonder than for personal losses, this is too charming. Winsomely rendered with a fitly haunting poignancy seemingly balanced with a wry humor and excellent imagery. Thank you very much for sharing, Sir.
