The Joke
Goldfinch60 said:

Very good words Ben, many treat life as a joke but you and I know that life can be wonderful if we go our own way and ignore the so called leaders.

It’s sad
That peace is so expensive
And war so cheap
Wish greed could take a vacation

Those Cheques in The Post
Goldfinch60 said:

Good words Ben, my friend was working in the Post Office when this happened, he too was accused of stealing money but was obviously innocent and fortunately did not go to prison.
Such a major foul up by the Post Office computer idiots.

Okay this was a message to the people. I love songwriting and this piece was beautiful. We need to appreciate life OUTSIDE of technology a little more. 👏💕

Highly expressive metaphor. Bringing to life the invisible poetry right before us. This is a centrepiece of note. Definitely a fave!

This is so enjoyable to read. No fun at all if a dish washer machine was used! I like washing up too and daydream as I do it. Thank you for this.

If only indeed. Your poetry today is so revealing of your caring character and carefully constructed too. Can I bring round some dishes and sip a cuppa whilst you and Fairy put the world to rights. I bet Maggie Thatcher wasn\'t a \'washer-upper\'.

Wow. This was clever. This happens to me all the time, I could be doing any normal domestic chore and then I\'m like, \"yo, this can become something really symbolic\" I\'m so glad you brought your idea into fruition. Good job! 👍🍽

Good acrostic Ben, and that picture is really scary, especially when I used to see it in the mirror some mornings many, many years ago.

Like you said
It’s not a drink that can cause hangover
Maybe a project
Maybe a relationship
Or maybe simply an addiction
Can cause a hangover
A well crafted acrostic dear poet

Gosh what a horrendous face. I found this quite funny because it reminded me of my \'oldest swinger in town\' days in my late 30\'s early 40\'s when occasionally we would party on drink and weed followed by what we called being \'wrecked\' the morning after.

My worst hangovers had me feeling that my brain was loose inside my skull and each time I moved so my brain would bash against the inside of my head... ouch! at the memory.

Great words Ben and so very true, the bands that play in pubs do not get enough credit for what they do and how good they can be.

I enjoyed your poem, the lyrics are great. So nice to be able to play and sing in a band or to entertain family and friends. I am still practising basic guitar chords.

This is not a new syndrome. It is the stuff of novels and films galore. But quite horrible and it\'s presence taints the genuine people (my own experience).
There will always be the susceptible and yes the plain stupid who get duped.

Stop Falling in Love So Easily!
spilleronsheet said:

It’s genuine
Love shall not be tainted and painted with greed
It may happen over a chance meet
But true is your advice
It shouldn’t happen that easily
Alas
Love is blind
But this tinder and all is really shoddy

Passing Notes
spilleronsheet said:

The facade of so called democracy
We thought we were ruling
The reality we still are being ruled
With those money stashed in pockets and guns loaded
Can pass on bullets
Can dally playing while so many are dying
It’s really sad
That monkeys are ruling the nations
The sad truth
Democracy seems unfound
Kidnap or lost in some account
A notice reads
“Lost and found democracy please”
