Hangover (An Acrostic)
spilleronsheet said:

Like you said
It’s not a drink that can cause hangover
Maybe a project
Maybe a relationship
Or maybe simply an addiction
Can cause a hangover
A well crafted acrostic dear poet

Hangover (An Acrostic)

Gosh what a horrendous face. I found this quite funny because it reminded me of my \'oldest swinger in town\' days in my late 30\'s early 40\'s when occasionally we would party on drink and weed followed by what we called being \'wrecked\' the morning after.

My worst hangovers had me feeling that my brain was loose inside my skull and each time I moved so my brain would bash against the inside of my head... ouch! at the memory.

Great words Ben and so very true, the bands that play in pubs do not get enough credit for what they do and how good they can be.

I enjoyed your poem, the lyrics are great. So nice to be able to play and sing in a band or to entertain family and friends. I am still practising basic guitar chords.

Stop Falling in Love So Easily!

This is not a new syndrome. It is the stuff of novels and films galore. But quite horrible and it\'s presence taints the genuine people (my own experience).
There will always be the susceptible and yes the plain stupid who get duped.

Stop Falling in Love So Easily!
spilleronsheet said:

It’s genuine
Love shall not be tainted and painted with greed
It may happen over a chance meet
But true is your advice
It shouldn’t happen that easily
Alas
Love is blind
But this tinder and all is really shoddy

I actually see the \'children\' in our parliament too and other parliaments in the same state of affairs. A few countries (run by women!) are doing better (oops, sorry!)

The facade of so called democracy
We thought we were ruling
The reality we still are being ruled
With those money stashed in pockets and guns loaded
Can pass on bullets
Can dally playing while so many are dying
It’s really sad
That monkeys are ruling the nations
The sad truth
Democracy seems unfound
Kidnap or lost in some account
A notice reads
“Lost and found democracy please”

LOL remember that if boris goes it will be another blue tory to replace him.
Unfortunately labour dont seem to be electable lately. THe last lot of labour to be elected are now scorned by labour themselves for being too like the tories and lefty corbyn gave them the biggest defeat ever.
Somehow i think boris will survive though all this will be re-lived at the next general election i\'m sure.

Very topical poetry.

A powerful message imbibed
Your words surely will strike
To break the so called traditional norm
The mob mentality running around

Well crafted dear poet

A very beautiful description dear poet
I felt I could remember all the cats in my garden who visit me
Generations of kittens thrives in my small garden
Ginger to white
White to black
And even white and black like your Hattie
Though one of them ate my birdie
But that’s another story
Well crafted dear poet

Loud applause for the docu-poem and the long walk - - those feet deserve a rest methinks when at last Beacon Hill has been done and as your final line states the road signs are guiding you home - so clearly explained I was there.
