It takes us a while to learn what love is. Romantic love with all it\'s bells and whistles is probably our introduction to love. Then gradually we realise more and more about the love within us and around us. Your words are a delight. I see in them the famed Corinthians theme which is astounding.

We are gifted with love and learn to cherish love. It is so big a subject, covering so many facets of existence that no written piece could fully do it justice. I think that your piece, as do many great poems, serves to draw our attention to the mystique and magic of this thing called love.

The feeding frenzy is happening as I write these words, the starlings, sparrows, blackbirds and goldfinches have just been fed.
It is wonderful to see the young being fed.

Great write - we\'ve got pigeons nesting in a conifer so the songbirds and others are giving the garden a miss. And we miss them.

It\'s been a hard year for my neighbourly blackbird. In the evenings i notice how knackered she is as she makes her low and ragged flight to her song perch where she throws herself down. It\'s unusual to hear her panting for breath before she starts her beautiful song.
Now, being the oft early riser that i am, regularly i would hear her yawning before starting into the dawn chorus but lately all i get are her gentle snores until the chicks pestering forces her out to hunt juicey worms and crusty flies.
The old bird still loves to nibble at the seeds I put though the prowling crafty cat is a worry.

Again those silken threads woven to delifght.. but wait.... what other light between the craftwork shines?... Tis the wonder thrown forth by the very presence of moonlight\'s peeping.... for what brings the damsel Fay to woodland this fair night..... when shawl of darkness covers true intent and blush, no more required, yields to pagan lust..... Nay poet Dusk... away with such thoughts. Tis the beauty of nightingales song attracts M\'lady heineken.

You at your best again with natures gifts.

Ahhh you secrets are exposed! Well maybe a couple of them...... poets like you huh?... My excuse is that i\'m gullible..... hitching a ride upon a fantasy, a ticket on a street car named despair or delusion.

But there again, Goldfinches \"If only\" unfurls a landsape of possibilities.

Love the way you weave those thoughts into your own particular word style to enchant and tease us into carefully slowing down that we may absorb. or try to absorb, the intent between the silken threads.

Good Evening FAY ~ Brian here ! Your elegant *ODE to Old Flames* rang several Belles \" Before I met ANGELA -
when I was 33 - I had endured / enjoyed *16 years of Courtship !* Some sank without trace - some showed promise and some waned to wax again ! Refreshing Regrets and Distilling Past Passions are euphamisms for *Trying to rekindle the Flame !* In my experience it never really worked and My Mantra when I met Angela was (and still is) *Old Flames cant hold a candle to YOU !* The past three years with ANGELA have been *A Revelation of Love* and Marriage (And Casa Nuestra y Gato Nuestro SMOKEY) are an Infinite Dimension of Eternal Love ~ AMEN !

Blessings & Peace & Joy
Love Angela - Brian & Smokey !

Mentally the passion to relive is as strong as ever. The desire stronger. The flesh sadly weaker and flabby. The intelligence - well, frankly i\'m wise enough to keep daydreams in their place but. As before, thankful to have scenes from the past to relive and romance.
Yet more Heineken poetry woven from your life\'s inspiration.
