ZEST is an awesome word almost oneamatopaic ! Lots of synonyms some of SAVOUR (Relish - Flavour - Piquancy) and some of ZING (Gusto - Tang - Joie de Vivre). My MAMA isnt Spanish but she loves Citrus Fruits and grated their rind (ZEST) into Drinks - Puddings - Cakes & Biscuits etc.
Love the similie in the Poem - Dawn as a zest-halo as Hermano Sol bursts through the darkness & the clouds to herald a NEW DAY - AMEN.

Iwas mesmerised and as soon as I reached the top I ran down the escalator to try and Find her but I never did & never will (it was 12 years ago !) However all the feelings you mentioned came into play ~ QUE SERA SERA ! However GOD had other Plans for Me - ANGELA ! Over three years ago I saw a VISION across a crowded Room at a Christmas Dance - I flew to her side - and the rest is History !
