The same spectacle sometimes repeats the same day when the sun disappears behind the Waianae mountains in the west.

I was 16 then and am 47 now but the storms we rode sometimes were very scary, fascinating and to watch the sea rise as the weather toughens up is a fear from God. we had many a lucky escape but am here to tell the tale of the deep @crash and cry\' as you put it. thank you for this lovely poem and the dangerous sea all around us. I love it.
