Looking Back Long, Hard and Slow
Bella Shepard said:

To remember where, when and with whom we shared the sweetest moments of our lives is a reminder that nothing is ever lost, only stored for safe keeping to be retrieved and savored over and over again. Beautifully and lovingly written dear friend, thank you for sharing.

A fine recollection, full of color and heat, from the \"desert\" to the \"sheets.\"
These look-backs to olden love have a way of leaving a warm glow in the hearts of readers and authors alike. Maybe it was those \"sun-kissed undulations,\" but this poem drew me into it. Sometimes we wish we could just grab \"a handful of light\" for inspiration. Truly enjoyed by me. - Phil A.

Dunno how I missed this before, Nev - mind if I keep and use at a timely moment in a relationship of mine?
Should ensure a beautiful moment or two, no risk.
Thanks

Ah - - another gem to lift readers hearts Nev. -- - From the title alone I could feel the closeness to someone well loved seeping out of metaphor. Such is what\'s offered in a truly classical romantic ode.

The True Weight of a Man’s Soul
Bella Shepard said:

This poem touches the heart, the soul, the mind, the very essence of what is called the human condition. Beautiful words born on the wings of love, and those who are touched by that soul will be as numerous as the stars in the heavens. This is a poem for all time my friend, it is a privilege to read.

Flashbacks can shock even after long passage of time - - insignificance can feel like sinking in water and no achievement award can alter the resultant years of coping with smallness - -- I know the feeling Nev. - a haunt of a write to read................x

Oh my Nev, when I was turning five I too had a drowning experience in the river that ran through my grandparent\'s property in my mum\'s hometown. After having been fished out, pumped of water and sufficiently revived I returned early next morning on the shallow end to conquer my fear, to get back on the proverbial saddle. Quite a resonant poem for myself. Thanks for sharing your poem and memory. It takes courage and mental fortitude to accomplish even that!
