Good write. I often write about My River and mine is The Avon in Evesham. I compare My River to My Spirit as being the same or at the least interchangeable.

Down the Strait and Narrow in Spring (written in Lincoln)

I read that about the Magna Carta. Only 4 copies of the original and one there in Lincoln. We don\'t have any cobble stone streets in the USA. I love the looks, but pity the guy in a wheelchair. Nicely done.

Unlike Cities in the USA those of England have histories of thousands of years. Is the uphill crowd still the wealthy? Sounds like an enjoyable visit. Great write.

WELCOME AUBURN ~Wonderful first poem ~ great rhythm. As I read it I was on the train with you to Nottingham a great City ! Great rhyme pattern (in most verses) abab cdcd etc ~ which added to the rhythm. Great choice of words many of them train journey related (observe ~ swerve ~ slow ~ haste ~ station ~ eat ~ drink ~ travel etc). The train really was your muse in rhyme ~ rhythm ~ vocabulary etc. I love this poem ~ Thanks for sharing ~ more please. BRIAN
