Nah. The eyes are the windows to the soul, which is precisely the reason so many souls insist and demand the \"right\" to wear sunglasses even indoors. There\'s little or no other means to hide the windows otherwise. This is likewise the reason our Secret Service is known to search the eyes of everyone, while themselves hide behind sunglasses. \"Oh the tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive \"! Beautifully rendered in brevity with excellent imagery and a necessarily haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Okay, I kinda understand the poem, but on the other hand, I kind of don\'t, so could you explain something to me? You wrote the word \'masking\' and in parentheses (Senryu), so I had to look it up to see what it meant. Adding this to the poem made it seem like something else! Cause I was reading other people\'s comments, and the only two that were kinda on point were Sorenbarrett and Tristan Robert Lange. Their comments would be correct to me about this poem. I\'m lost, but whatever it is, I hope your day gets better.

The beautiful thing about the Senryu form is that, in its brevity when done right, it speaks for itself. This does just that my friend. Well done! πŸŒΉπŸ‘πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

I think here you have shown me how a senryu works better in Japanese than English it all has to do with characters rather than letters. Just a thought in that I don\'t know Japanese. Nicely done Tobani

I find that the lighting in a powder room, boudoir, dressing room can be very affective of how we see ourselves, of course there is a link, bridge, and double meaning there as well... self-image and public projection are very sensitive matters. Moving read, here! πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ™πŸ»

How on earth you manage to turn the rendition of an abominable dawn into a humorous perspective on reality is why James Thurber and etc were so popular. There\'s a subtle glimmer of laughter winking despite the dark and dire atmosphere, akin to a storm whose flashes both are ghastly in their light yet also have a twinkling note of a better morrow. Yes, that inexplicable ire which renders the passage of time in too many as cantankerous, and we\'re all privy to its influences sooner or later. How I want to put on the kettle for you and offer you a hearty cuppa Barry\'s to soothe the nameless irritant out of existence! Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Nataiella, this is unfiltered pain...laid bare without apology. As it should be. We should not be apologetic for feeling pain (something I need to remind myself). The repetition, the looping dread...it’s all too familiar. I love how are honest you are in the way you name what most people hide. This poem doesn’t ask for answers...just for someone to see. And I do, my friend. Hope that dark day is far behind you but if not, know I and many others are sending you our hug-filled love. πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

Oh, Nataiella, hits a core.... your poem explores the theme of mental anguish, emotional turmoil, and the cyclical nature of depression. The Poet recounts a struggle with anger, irritability, and feelings of hopelessness, grappling with internal conflicts and a sense of despair. That revolves around the poet\'s daily battles with mental health, characterized by physical pain and emotional distress. The poem captures a sense of isolation and the repetitive nature of such days, suggesting an ongoing struggle without resolution. I hope your day gets better, my friend.

This poem does show a dark side that we all have from time to time but this one contines dark throughout. It speaks to me of frustration, a feeling of lack of control over ones thoughts and feelings, deterioration and gives a feeling of hopelessness. It shows good rhyme and flow that indicate control in action. Nicely written Nataliella

Thank you for sharing this raw moment of struggle; it takes real courage to put those dark thoughts into words. Remember that every hour you endure is proof of your strength, and you deserve to feel the light waiting just beyond today’s storm. β›ˆοΈπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ™πŸ»

You\'re too fun and too clever, offering poignant tidbits of good sense in morsels which seem not unlike the \"spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!\" doctrine. Excellently rendered with lovely imagery and a delightful humour to offset the weightier poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

You know how much I love this series, Tobani. In this one, the line about not condemning your own voice really stood out. We all do that, though, don\'t we? At least I have been known too...outside of poetry, of course...and even there for a time. Wise advice. Truly, an excellent job, my dear friend. πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
